The James Company Participates In Senior Expo In Florida

Kristin Sparks and The James Company Real Estate Brokers And Development featured select properties from the region at the 24th Annual Senior Expo held in West Palm Beach, Florida in the spring of 2008.  The event was designed for consumers aged 55 and over and hosted by the Area Agency on Aging.

This was a two day event with an attendance of a minimum of 15,000 people, many of those are baby boomers which the company appealed to.

According to The James Company's Managing Broker James Perry "over the past several years our firm has seen a trend of Floridians (most of which originally migrated from the north), look to our area as a place to relocate for primary residences as well as second homes.  Many have expressed interest in our georgraphical location, because it puts them closer to grand children and family.  Additionally , they are attracted to our area for the climate, low cost of loving, access to quality health care and to be near the lake, river and mountains."  Mr. Perry says that "Chattanoogga, being a big, aamll town is a plus, and being close to amjor cityies like Atlanta and Nashville makes our area desirable to this group of consumers."  According to the Seniors Real Estate Specialist CVouncil, readearch suggests that in five years 40% of the U.S. population will be age 55 and older.  Many of these "Baby Boomers" are experienced buyers and investors in real estate.  They are the largest and wealthiest consumer group in the U.S.

"Our participation in this expo gives us the unique opportunity to showcase our local communities to this ever-growing target audience," said Mr. Perry.  "It gives us a chance to actively go to where they are and meet them rather than waiting for them to find us via the internet.  We see this as a strategic marketing tool to use in our quest to meet the changing needs and demands of this consumer group while further exposing our seller clients real estate inventory across the country."
